2021 - R7 sorting the rubbish into the correct bins!

Room 7 has been learning about different bins around the school - waste, paper, worm and compost. We discussed which rubbish goes where and had fun doing an activity of sorting rubbish.

First, we had a go at guessing which rubbish will go where.

Then, we worked as a class to discuss further on why we put certain things in the certain bin, and discussed about if it needs to be in a different bin. Then we came out with the result shown below:

We are a proud class of enviro scholars! We are ready to go home and let our family know how we can use the bins correctly to look after our environment! :)

2018 Kapa Haka Festival

2019 Bread Bag + Tag Collection

A Facebook post from Mrs Allen to ask for our community's help in collecting bread bags and tags to be recycled. We are still collecting these so if you have any please bring them into school.

2019 Celebration Concert

Elm Park held a Celebration Concert as a way to showcase our fabulous cultural and dance groups. Each year level had a song to perform and there were a few whole school songs.

Groups that performed included our Indian dance group, Year 3/4 Hip Hop, Year 5/6 Hip Hop, Korean Fan dance and our Elm Park School Kapa Haka group. We also had a surprise performance from our fabulous teachers!

It was great to have so many parents and caregivers along to help us see out another successful year.

Welcome Post

Kia ora! Welcome to our Elm Park School Enviro Journey.

This blog is designed to share our journey through the Enviroschools program, from Bronze to Green/Gold. The work you see comes from the students and the classrooms who are invested in their future on the planet. From experiments to planting to work from the Kaitiaki Kids, you will see a variety of hard mahi on this blog.

All our our work is underpinned by our Enviroschools Guiding Principles.
