2020 Mulchin' Around

Our junior playground got some new softfall put on, so we had a whole pile of bark to move around the school!  Thanks to all the students, teachers and members of the public that have helped us to move this bark to different places around the school. It is going to be great for our gardens and to keep our area looking tidy.

Check out Room 13 with all their buckets of bark ready to go on gardens!

2020 Our Enviro Journey Display

This is our Enviro wall. It is located in the 2 Touch Room by our library. This wall showcases our journey with Enviroschools and also what is in our environment.

We have a display showing who our Kaitiaki Kids are. These students are the guardians of our school who are chosen to help facilitate enviro projects around the school and be a voice of change in our school. We also showcase what our short term and long term goals are in the school. These make up the plan for the Kaitiaki Kids over the year.

2020 Lunchbox Survey

In Term 1 Room 3 did a lunchbox survey. Over 5 days they looked at what is in their lunchboxes and tallied up the results. From this, Room 3 have looked into what they are bringing to school and what changes they can make to their lunchboxes to make them more environmentally friendly.

2020 Litter Free Lunch Legends!

Check out Room 4! We are sharing with a buddy what is in our lunchbox and what food is not covered in plastic wrap. As a class we talked about the different foods that are in our lunchbox and who also has a lunchbox with no litter in it. Well done to Eric, Rinaya and Elius for bringing a litter free lunch to school!

2020 Planter Box Planning

Room 4 are lucky enough to have a planter box outside our classroom. We brainstormed some ideas about what we could put in our planter box - we were very sad to discover that there is no bubblegum plants! Miss Donnell went to Palmers, showed them our ideas and got some plants that could fit in our garden.

On Friday we planted our flowers. We had some people dig holes that the flowers could fit in, and others were in charge of planting the flowers and patting down the soil around them. We can't wait to watch our planter box grow!
